GUIDELINE NO. 44 - STORM/SCREEN WINDOWS AND DOORS (NEW AND REPLACEMENT)

An Exterior Alteration Application must be submitted for storm/screen windows and doors with the exception of storm doors which will match the color of the house siding, exterior door or trim. House trim constitutes two or more of the following in the same color: gutters and downspouts, shutters, corner molding, and wide front door molding. Storm/screen windows and doors will most likely be approved if they are of straightforward design without bars, cross-hatching, filigree or decorative embellishments. The storm door must be compatible with the house style. Although aluminum colored (mill finish) doors and windows are not permitted, they can be painted if special primers are used.

NOTE: Townhouse and condominium associations may have further restrictions on storm/screen windows and doors so please check with your local association. The most restrictive guidelines shall apply.

Application Requirements:

Submit complete details of the style, color, size and location of the storm/screen windows and doors. Submit a manufacturer's drawing and/or photograph for all replacement storm/screen windows and doors.
